About the accommodations

The absolute charm of the Kobayashi residence is the location that commands a panoramic view of satoyama (village forest). At sunset, the sun sinks below the mountains in a fantastic display, and at night, crystal clear air creates a nightsky full of stars. This may create a mood for whispering “sweet nothings.” The power of the views brings out a passionate feeling. Indulge your emotions and tell your someone special what you honestly feel.

Example activities

【Making blueberry jam】

宿舎01

Why not make blueberry jam that condenses the luscious taste of seasonal blueberries on your own? Richly tasty jam made by cooking over time provides a juicy texture and flavor especially for you. This menu is specific to the Kobayashi residence that runs the food processing “Konashiya.”

【Mochi pounding】

宿舎01

You can learn directly from the host the basics on how to make fluffy but highly stretchable mochi, nurtured over many years at Konashiya. We guarantee that you will warm up to mochi pounding as a competition: Whose mochi is the most delicious?

【Making konjac】

宿舎01

Have you ever eaten raw konjac? You can experience konjac making from “konjac potatoes” that are not typically grown by local farmers due to the amount of fuss required in tending them and making konjac. If it is sliced into sashimi, you will become hooked on its “slippery” texture and the feeling of konjac as it slides down your throat.
